Fog cannons, we also call them mist cannon, dust suppression cannons, spray cannons, dust binding machines, dust fighters, emission control units, etc. are designed for effective dust control. They help to minimalize the dust, reduce the health risk and improve air quality. Pressurized water goes through jet nozzles which turns the water into a fine mist. The mist is dispersed by a strong air flow generated by a powerful fan. The mist fixes to the dust particles thus supressing the dust. The range depends on the direction and force of the wind. Fog cannon is an effective dust suppression equipment.

A "Fog Cannon", an anti dust equipment, is put to work in Xuanhua District in Zhangjiakou City, north China's Hebei Province, on July 7. The machine can spray water over 100 meters in a bid to prevent dust from traveling.
